Within each of the kins of the Elves, there is a list of hirearchy, to which applies to all.

1) High Elves: These are the Lord and the Lady of that kin, there are only two High elves.

2) Grey Elves: The Grey elves are the Lords and Ladies who are below the High-Elves. There are 4 Grey elves to each kin and come from important families.

3) Golden Elves: These Elves are the heads of either an Army, a group of hunting scouts or a group of hunting riders. They tend to have the faster horses. There are three of these.

4) Silver Elves: The lieutenants to the Golden Elves. There are 6 Silver Elves (2 for Army, 2 for scouts, 2 for riders)

5) Green Elf: These are the actual members of the army/scout/riders, the archers and mounted elves. There are many of these elves.

6) Brown Elves: These are the rest of the kin, those who have either not yet proved themselves or who are not in the army.


Teleri - have a great love of the Sea and are master Sailors. If in a quest, these will be the ones who take over if situations cocerning crossing waters/waterways arise.

the whole Red elf, blue elf, etc. does that mean something or is it just another method of making the groups more organized

Its just a rank, anyone higher in color than you is above you and has authority over you, and anyone in the Quendi has authority over them, Anamatar has authority over the Quenya, I have authority over Anamatar and everyone else, etc. Its just a hierarchy, but yes the colors do mean something, and they are placed under your group in order (High, Silver, Grey, Red, Green, Blue)

It's already started lol. ;) Anyways, as for where can you post your Character Profile, there is a thread called something like RP Profile, or something like that. Post it there. And for your RPs, if you want to make a new one, you can PM Glorfindel or I THINK, (not sure) there may be a Suggestions or Thread Ideas thread. If there is, post your RP Summary in there. Gil-Galad the rules are in the rules thread. The ranks are determined by your activity in the guild and/or forum, and yes there is chance for progress, very good chance actually, I edit the ranks every 2 weeks or so. But knowing you and how active you are Gil-Galad, I'd give you a high rank right away.

Hmmm, this style appears to be easier to understand than the last.

As far as I can tell, each house has the possibility to hold more members then before. This allows the houses to grow. All are divided into what looks like a Class-based system, like the Caste-system used in india.

Warrior-class
Artisans-class
etc.


We can keep this system, until they get too large, which was not possible in the old system. All in all, this looks like a good thing to me.

You get raised up to high when someone quits, depending on who you are. And right now I think there are several high elves that will be removed. But as to getting raised to a Calaquendi and being put on the Council, I have not really thought about that, it mostly depends on how active you are and how many members there are in the guild, because more members means I need more help running things. As it is I will probably be adding at least one, probably 2, members to the Calaquendi. And no you don't need to post anything on the excuses thread, I didn't even notice your absence, well I noticed it had been a few days, but I wasn't worried because it was no great period of time.;)

Legolasismine you must have signed up at some point, because I wouldn't put a random person on the list, we have enough inactive members as it is.....but I dunno I'll check again.

Don't get me wrong, I love being a Calaquendi (it makes me feel powerful) but I don't know if I deserve to be a Calaquendi, due to my inactivity for the last couple of weeks or so. If it would make it easier, I could be the High Elf of the Teleri (because according to that quiz I took a long time ago, I definitely love the sea).

So Gold comes after Grey.

yes he would. The whole Elf type is picked completely at random and has nothing to do with your rank really, its just a way of organizing everyone. For example, if he wanted to become your type of Elf Wonks, then I would switch whoever your fellow high-elf is in your type with him, it would basically just be a trade.;)
