Warhammer is a role-playing game, played with miniature metal- and plastic figurines, which you paint and assemble yourself. It has different Armies, such as High Elves, Dark Elves, Bretonians, Orcs and Goblins, Undead, etc. It's a lot like D&D, but there are somewhat less rules and IMO it's more gratifying. :)
I have heard of the LotR Warhammers, and the Balrog (I prefer to use the term Valarauko :)) is spectacular; but I gave up Warhammer a long time ago; they will eat your savings up like molten steel. ;)

I've been playing both of their games...currently there are two: one for The Fellowship of the Ring, and one for The Two Towers. The game is very easy to get into, and fun to play. But Lantarion is correct, to play it extensively, you will end up spending a lot.

Im collecting it.

The best thing to do in saving money wise is to share it with mates.

I am collecting heros and the humans. I have a mate doing anything evil. Another collecting the elves.

Yay for gaming minis!!!!! Im into collecting and painting minis too, And I like the Warhammer peices, but I find them to costly...Im thinking of putting together a LOTR chess set with un-official minis that look the closest as I imagined the characters, it should be interesting finding them..hey Smeagol#1, are you into AD&D and Warhammer and such, you should check out (If you havnt allready) Reaper Minis (Click Here to visit Reaper Minis) (http://www.reapermini.com/) there sculpts are great, and they have a great forum also!!!
