Besides the battle between the uruk-hai and the rohirrim have their been any other battles between the rohirrim and others at Helms Deep? Such as the dunlendings, orcs etc?

There most certainly have been! I don't have my books with me, but the Appendices to LOTR tells a fair amount about the history of Helm's Deep, including who Helm was.

The year was 2758 (Third Age) when Rohan was beset by enemies from both east and west. Gondor was also attached by the Corsairs, so were unable to send help to their allies in Rohan.

Quoting from Appendix A of LR

The Rohirrim were defeated and their land was overrun; and those who were not slain or enslaved fled to the dales of the mountains. Helm was driven back with great loss from the Crossings of Isen and took refuge in the Hornsburg and the revine behind (which was later known as Helm's Deep). Their he was besieged. Wulf took Edoras and sat in Meduseld and called himself king.

Bad days indeed!

The story continues that soon after the Long Winter began (2758-2759) which had ruinous affect throughout Middle-earth.

During this winter, the enemy would here Helm's horn sound at night. Quoting from the appendix once again.

He [Helm] would go out by himself, clad in white, and stalk like a snow-troll into the camps of his enemies, and slay many men with his hands. It was believed that if he bore no weapon no weapon would bite on him. The Dunlendings [enemy] said that if he could find no food he ate men.

Ha! Now we know why Gondor would rather have Rohan a friend than an enemy!

Helm died a natural death (well, natural for Helm) that winter.

When winter broke, Helm's nephew (Fréaláf) moved down from Dunharrow and surprised Wulf in Meduseld and slew him. The Dunlendings fled and the Rohirrim returned to their homes.

Just another tale from Rohan dripping with blood and the wrath of the north.
