How was the War of the wrath fought?

Beleriand was destroyed probably due to the braking of Thongrodium, which brought a massive plate movement, probably shaking the inner core of the earth. lava erupted in many places and probably due to some unknown magic, massive rifts were created. Its not very clear. the above is my idea.
The hose of Valinor consisted of Vanyamar, Noldor, the house of edain, and probably faithful easterlings and The Dwarves as well as many maia's. Not to say the Sinder and some silvan elves also. The host defeated the morgoth host very easily till the dragons were launched. they held back the valinorian host for they were many, large and fierce. but the birds turned the way. Earendil killed ancalagon(not the site one mind you) the black and the birds of Middle Earth in the headship of Eagles of Manwe destroyed the dragons or forced them to go to forodwaith.

But wasn`t the reshaping of middle-earth something done on purpose? I´m not shure, but as far as I know Numenor was put in existence in relation with the sinking of Beleriand, as an attempt to restart the history of middle earth since the evil of feanors oath was finally forgiven.

Just like pressing the "restart" button.

Actually, only the change from the third to the fourth age wasn`t accompanied by some sort of changing the landscape.

RIght. And it is said that In the sea between The land of Valar and Middle Earth, an island was raised, more closer to Valinor then Then Middle Earth. Yes, but the mental change in the changing from 3rd to 4th age was very great. The Noldo passed, the sinder passed, Silvan remained, Dwarves Decreased, Men multiplied, Hobbits became Quiet...

Numenor was put there as a reward to all the men who had fought in The War of Wrath. They had their own place that is closer to Valinor than ME.
