You know, I just noticed this thread! I have never seen it before... You might want to tell people to use this because they have been using the Members List thread haven't they? They've been using one of those threads can't remember which.

Anyways, if people keep using the other thread instead of this, I guess just delete this thread. (Or to tell you the truth, I'd change the thread name to "Apply Here" and make it sticky. (As for being sticky, I'd have to look to see how many you already have sticky to really say if this should be sticky or not..)

I have been playing various RPG's for about 12 years now, mostly playing elven characters. I have a little knowledge of Quenya and am in the progress of brushing up on this.

I have one minor point to add, which I noticed while browsing this forum. Ranking your members by color looks odd, why not use proper quenya titles? (after all, there are grey elves, but red, green and blue elves are not elven races. So it looks strange.)

I'm not sure there are enough Quenya titles... but anyways, I think the colors are OK.... the only suggestion I could make is that the colors be where if I said I am a White Elf and she is a Brown Elf, you can take a guess on who is higher. Like Saruman the White, Gandalf the Grey, Radaghast the Brown. But you can't really tell who is higher with Red, Green, and Blue.

(BUT I AM PERFECTLY FINE WITH THE RANKINGS WE HAVE NOW.)

Hmm I never thought of using the color Brown, but its a good idea. But anyway the ranks shouldn't be too confusing cause the colors are listed highest to lowest going down the list.

The colors used in LOTR were easy to assess, since they went from light to dark. In this ranking system, they are not. Which was one of my main points. There's no logic in it, which requires looking it up every time.

Well we have several RP's that you can join if you would like, but if you decide to take part in one of those please bring your character in in an original way, don't just say "Hi guys I'm here", give your character a background story and a reason for being in it when you bring him/her in. And if you do decide to take part in RP's please post your profile in the RP profile thread. There are also several discussions going right now that you can take part in or add your thoughts too, right now I think all of our discussions are more or less done or moving very slowly, but you can add anything you want to them to try and get them going again.

I don't want to join, as much as I'd like to, because I am already in a guild and an honorary member in another, but I have a question.

Can non guild members post in the discussion threads? Several times I have really wanted to (like in the Dark Elf thread) but didn't because I assumed I couldn't. I see that gate7ole did though, is this allowed? I'm not trying to get him in trouble with Glorfindel or anything, but I want to know so I can post in the future.

Bethelarien (and Celebrian), the thread to join Heren Istarion is open and they are still taking in members. You can start posting in the threads containing the name 'Arda', without the need to wait if your profile is approved, after you submitted your profile.

As for the profile approval, the warRP's are currently being decided upon if they will start over or not, which coincides with the profile approval (your sheet needs to be approved before you may enter the WarRP's). So until that is decided upon, you can follow the roleplaying lessons.

Yes as I said you can be a member of both at the same time at it should be no problem to withdraw your membership at any anytime.
But you should consider if you really want to join any the guilds, then you wont have to withdraw you memberships (says the one who just did that:rolleyes: )
