Is the Noldolante published in any text? Perhaps in The History of Middle-earth series? I am reading the Silmarillion for my third time and have reached the Kinslaying. Within this chapter it is said that Maglor recorded it ere he was lost and I was wondering if someone could locate in which (if any) book it was pulished.
Thanks,

I know for sure there is no published text called that, and I'm not sure if it is any of the History of Middle Earth Books, I have only read the 4 LOTR History books. If it were in any of the History books try the War of the Jewels, Morgoth's Ring, or The Lays of Beleriand. Or maybe Tolkien never got arond to finishing it.

In The Lays of Beleriand (HoME 3), "Poems Early Abandoned", there is the beginning of a poem called "The Flight of the Noldoli from Valinor", relating events among the Noldor from the darkening of Valinor through the oath sworn by Fëanor's sons to an agreement by voices from the host of Elves to follow Fëanor.
This would probably have continued at least to the kinslaying at Alqualondë if completed and so would possibly be what Tolkien intended by the Noldolantë, if he did have anything in particular in mind.
