Does anyone know whether Cirdan the Shipwright is in ROTK and any Pics?
He is in the prologue of FOTR but they might leave him out.
I hope not

If Cirdan is in ROTK, it'll probably be in a very quick non-speaking role, or maybe he'll just say something like "The ship is ready", or something.

No, no, no. In RotK Cirdan will arrive with a horde of storm-trooper-like elves just in time to save Minas Tirith. He will then race to Mount Doom and push Gollum into the Cracks of Doom. But remember, this is all entirely in keeping with the spirit of the books and if you say it isn't all PJ's admirers will shout at you.
I sure hope to see Cirdan. Since I am effected by Galadriel in the movie because of her age and history, Cirdan should really slam home the fact that these beautiful ancient beings are leaving.
I have no idea how PJ will show that Gandalf has Narya (deja vu) but we already saw Cirdan with it and we will know Gandalf must have got it from "that other elf at the beginning of the movie"... so I wouldn't be surpirsed if Cirdan is actually named, and I also wouldn't be surpirsed if he has a line at the Grey Havens' scene.
I wonder how many elves will be there...
Grey Havens... :(

If PJ wasn't concerned about how Arwen was supposed to be in FoTR, I highly doubt he will concern himself with the rings. What purpose do they serve? At the beginning, it was necessary to show that main races of ME received rings. This was a good intro to introduce the One ring. Other than that, if we never even saw Galadriel's ring, there probably won't be any other showing of the rings.
And if PJ cut out Glorfindel, I doubt he will show Cirdan for any reason.

The only purpose I imagine it would serve is to enhance the majesty of Gandalf's character.
It would also just be a nice extra touch. It would be nice to suddenly see gandalf and Elrond (charactors we know well) with magic rings like the one Galadriel has.
He may not show this though, and if not ,then perhaps we wont hear Cirdan's name. I think we will see him though.
PS: I'm convinced that PJ would have botched up Glorfindel anyhow ;)

Just a note on te Three Elven-rings
Galadriel kept her ring (Nenya)
Gil-Galad gave his ring ( Vilya) to Elrond before he died.
Cirdan gave his ring (Narya) to Gandalf when the Wizards arrived at Middle Earth when he sensed his wisdom and power.
Since Narya is the Ring of Fire, that is why he challenges the Balrog with "I am Wielder of the Flame of Anor"
(Anor being the Sun)

hmmm... I do know about the rings.
I also agree that "weilder of the flame of Anor" is a reference to Narya. In fact I am arguing that point here. (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=8368)
Feel free to post your opinion there too... ;)

It was cool seeing Cirdan at the Grey Havens and Gandalf wearing Narya.
I wasn't able to see Vilya on Elrond though.
