ooc: Ill use my MK profile for this.

Name: Maegelen

Race: Elf

Birthplace: Rivendell

Appearence: A very lithe 6'4 elf he wears leather armor with Mithril studs poked into it for extra protection and leather leggings without studs over normal garb. On his back is carried a white orante bow and a quiver full of white arrows. At his side is strapped sword in a carved sheath adorned with gems.

Animal: His steed Lightmane.

Family: All have left for Valinor.

Items: A finely tuned lute. His bow and arrows. And his mithril inlaid blade "Galen". A small Iron buckler adorned with leaves and trees of Mithril.

History: Maegelen was never happy to stay in Rivendell with all of his family. He lusted to see beings of other races more than trees or other elves. After his coming of age he was constantly roaming gone for monthes on end experiencing the wonders that he felt the other elves just couldn't see. When in the halls of Rivendell his passion was composing verses of song which he took to the outside world performing for all whom would listen. When all of his family lef for Valinor he chose to stay unable to leave the beings he had grown so close too. So with only the family sword to remind himself of them he set off into the world.

Maegelen saw Dimlondowen scanning the room for the table where he was singing. Recognizing her from Rivendell he stopped playing an went over to her. "Ah Dimlondowen off on another adventure are we? You have the look of someone seeking something. And judging by how your looking at this crowd I'd say you need a few companions. If that is the case you can count me right in this place was getting boring."

IC:"It has been a long time Maegelen! And you are right, I am looking for companions. I must go to Minas Morgul to get the sword of Eärnur. For what reason I cannot say, maybe later in our journey..." Said Dimlondowen, patting her hawk Snow-Jer on the head. " 'Tis good that you are going, someone I know and trust. But if we are to enter the Nazgul city we must have a larger comany then two. Do you know any one here who would be up to such a journey?"

Mablung

Maeg laughed. "Nay there aren't many here who I would take with me into the city of the Nazgul but there are a few exceptions Ill go see if any of them are around." He then dissapeared deeper into the Inn.

While Dimlondowen waited for Maeg to come back she ordered some food from the bar. To the onlookers she seemed strange and mysterious, she took off her hood and looked around the room again with hope that someone with courage to join their journey would appear.

*Lady Arwen*
01-16-2003, 05:34 PM
"Then come and listen all" Dimlondowen said, Thelkon nd Phenix sat down at the table "My quest is this, a long time ago Eärnur, the last king of Gondor was chalanged to a fight with the Witch King. At first he did not go at the bidding of the steward, some years later the Witch King repited his chalange. King Eärnur this time did not do as the steward said and went to Minas Morgul to fight him. He never came back, the sword he took with him was said to have a power that repeled the Nazgul. I was asked to go to the Morgul city to get it back and put it to use, preventing them to attack the free people of Middle Earth. Who asked me I cannot tell you, maybe later in our journey if it is needed... Have all here decided to join in my quest?" All nodded. "Good, we leave tomorrow. Get a good night's rest you'll need it." She turned to leave, then turned back remebering another thing "Do all of you have horses? " All nodded exept Baranlas "Then I'll find you a horse by tomorrow, goo night." She went up the stair to her room.

The next day the were up early, outside the Prancing Pony. Dimlondowen was holding two horses. Thelkon, Annun; Phenix, Nightmare; Maegelen, Lightmane. "This is Alak, he is an Elven horse." Dimlondowen said to Baranlas, handing Alak over to him. They were all packed and ready to go, Dimlondowen explanied the course the would take, showing them a map "We are here" pointing at Bree "We must travel South then East. I belive the easiest would be to go East the Soth following the Anduin, but I am not allowed in Imlandris... So we shall follow the Andrath Greenway road then cross at the gap od Rohan. We can rest in Edoras for a while after, then the next stop is Minas Tirth and then Minas Morgul" As she said this she traced a line on the map. "Are ready to go?"

Baranlas
01-16-2003, 07:34 PM
"i thank you for the horse Dimlondowen ,
i agree with you on your route for this journey"
he then turns too Phenix, maeg and Thelkon
"i must appologise for my silence the other night, as i was dreadfully weary but i hope this will not hinder any friendship between us all"
Baranlas then procceds to toy with the silver ring on his finger.

Gandalf White
01-16-2003, 07:57 PM
"No, not at all Baranlas," said Thelkon. " I too was weary. What is that ring there, does it contain any special powers, I wonder?"

Baranlas
01-16-2003, 10:20 PM
"no not at all, just a family heirlome ,
its is dear to me, it reminds me of my childhood, as happy as it was, and helps me to look onto dark times a head, but now you say,,, the power it does have is too grant me my courage when my hope fails, but thats all i shall say from fear of boring you"
baranlas then mounts alak, and tries to look as confident as possible

*Lady Arwen*
01-16-2003, 10:47 PM
They all mounted their horses and were ready to leave. They went through the narrow streets of Bree to the gate. "We shall ride by day and rest by night. I do not stop for anything." Said Dimlondowen. Maeg grinned, "Yup, thats the Dimlondowen I know" he thought. "My Snow-Jer shall keep whach over us as we ride" Said Dimlondowen.

Baranlas
01-16-2003, 11:49 PM
Baranlas Had a very hard time controlling alak, which made one or two of the company chuckle,
after some hours of riding he finally got the hang of the basics.
he noticed that the the night was falling and greatly desired for them to stop, so he may get of the beast. they rode on, baranlas suddenly felt like he was being watched he looked around and saw nothing, he then turned to the company he saw no signs from them to indicate that they felt like him.
he quickly forgot about this.

*Lady Arwen*
01-17-2003, 01:42 AM
It was nearly midnight when Dimlondowen let the company stop to rest. She lead them the edge of the woods that suronded the road. "We can rest here, if you must, light a fire. I can take first whach." She said to them, taking out a bundle of leaves with lembas inside from her pack. Baranlas watched amazed, he had never seen Lembas. Dimlondowen saw Baranlas watching her, "Try some." She said handing him a piece of Lembas.

Mablung
01-17-2003, 01:45 AM
Maeg laughed as he saw Baranlas with the lembas. "Don't worry its not poison and it will probably be a Valar send after awhile I don't think we will get much else once we near our goal." He then ate half a wafer then satisfied with that he put it back into his pack.

*Lady Arwen*
01-17-2003, 01:55 AM
They all sleep well that night and were ready to get going. Phenix had found a spring and they all drank from it and refilled their water bottles.

Baranlas
01-17-2003, 07:29 PM
Barnalas woke that morning, feeling much more refreshed than he had been in many aday, he looked over too thelkon who also seemed to be much more refreshed,
baranlas got up and walked over to the spring and filled his bottle

*Lady Arwen*
01-18-2003, 02:25 AM
Dimlondowen was feeding Snow-Jer when Baranlas Thelkon woke up. She had already had breakfast and was waiting for them.

Baranlas
looks up at sees a blurred shape in the distance. as he gets closer he makes out an elderly man,
as he gets closer, he shouts a gr4ating to the company, and pleas his case for food to which Dimlondowen invites him to sit with them for thesmall breakfast that they would be having

*Lady Arwen*
01-19-2003, 04:32 PM
"Who are you?" Dimlondowen asked to the stranger.

Baranlas
01-19-2003, 04:36 PM
At this point baranlas rembered that he thought that they were being followed the night before, and he became suspicious of the stranger

*Lady Arwen*
01-20-2003, 12:17 AM
Dimlondowen noticed that Baranlas sudenlly became more wary, but said nothing.

Neothen
01-20-2003, 01:55 AM
"I am Methrer Madoc former king of Doroth. I've been wandering this forest for some time now and I am in need for some battle to ease my own pains." Methrer eats a bit more and lays back but can't help himself from noticing that one of the people in the group was watching him with a vulture eye.

Gandalf White
01-20-2003, 02:09 AM
Thelkon noticed it also, and so decided to speak up. "I for one would be willing for your company, Methrer. Perhaps you could enlighten me as to the method of the Grondorians, maybe explain it a bit more. However, we need to be moving on, perhaps you can tell me on the way. You can ride with me, seeing as you have no horse," Thelkon added.

Neothen
01-20-2003, 02:16 AM
"I thank you for the offer Thelkon. I am not one of the Grondorian men I only learned their magical defences after I lost my wizard powers. The Grondorians are people called Varums they can stop a mage in their tracks with a slight movement of the hand. If Anyone posses a magical abilitie then I can deminstraight."

*Lady Arwen*
01-20-2003, 02:16 PM
Dimlondowen was surprised by the many people who turned up in a short time, but she was kind to them. "Methrer and Arathein, you both may join this company. We are in nead of warriors that may fight with the nazgul (look on the 1st page, my last post)" She welcomed them to the company.

Baranlas
01-20-2003, 08:08 PM
Baranlas, was also stunned bythe new arrivals, although his suspicion was never shaken of, but for now, his mind woundered on to other things, such as the matter of food among the company, to which with his hunting equipment ventured into a near by wood, the wood was thick and dark, but Baranlas eventually, found a rugged track, he followed this track until it reached the edge of a cave and from curiosity entered the darkness

Phenix
01-20-2003, 10:24 PM
as Baranlas left Phenix said " he shouldn't be walking alon in thise woods, they're dangerus, I'll go after him" he grabed his bow and arows and went out into thewoods, but befor he disapeared into the shadow he turned around to the new comers

Gandalf White
01-20-2003, 11:55 PM
"My mind is in great unease," Thelkon said softly, drewing Dimlondowen aside, "though I do not know whether it is because of the newcomers or Baranlas going rashly through the woods."

Gandalf White
01-21-2003, 01:19 AM
Thelkon bent his thought, and concentrated. Suddenly he sprang to his feet! "Baranlas is in trouble, he will need back-up," he cried. "Follow me!" He sped towards Baranlas and the cave with Phenix close behind!!!!

AratheinElessar
01-21-2003, 07:35 AM
Arathein turned and started off after Thelkon and Phenix, but was halted in his tracks as if a Balrog was standing three feet away, he clutched to his chest and revealed the evenstar from under his shirt. He loosened its fastenings and handing it to Methrer.

"Please, look after this, I can not carry it into battle. The burden is too great."

Baranlas
01-21-2003, 07:15 PM
Baranlas continued walking through the cave, the entrance could no longer bee seen, but for some reason he kept going, he came to a set of three passages , and continued through the middle of the three, suddenly Baranlas fellhe rolled down the side of a steep slope hitting many rocks on the way down

baranlas finally got to his feet, he relised he wasnt alone, it was too dark for him too see anything, he heard dozens upon dozens of foot steps
he drew his sword and shield, but before he could do anything with them he was struck on the back of the head.

Neothen
01-21-2003, 07:39 PM
Methrer put the evenstar in a leather pouch and followed the others. A power ran through his veins like never before. Methrer could absorb any kind of power to use it himself but this was too dark even for a wizard to hold in his hands. What was ahead throbed in his mind and his eyes turned dark in order for him to protect his mind.

Baranlas
01-21-2003, 07:51 PM
Barnalas was down, but found strength to throw himself up he swung he sword in a circular motion, there was one or two cries of pain around him, he kept slashing at the dark desperatly, his left shoulder then jolted back and he felt a great pain he clawed at his should to find a long dark arrow had pierced him.
he dropped his shield but continued slashing with his sword, another arrow came towards him but just knicked his arm, he fought on and on with his unseen foes, until in the darkness there came a great roar and screams.

Phenix
01-21-2003, 09:24 PM
a big troll came out of the trees besides left of Baranlas after it came 3 orcs, they al ran to keep up with the troll's great speed. sudently one of the orcs fell with an arown n the back the other two turned around just in time to see Phenix followed by Thelkon and Arathein emerge form the shadows. now the cave troll had noticed them and turned around to look at them. but as the troll ran towards them with it's big club in one hand, weirds shadows suronded it, they looked like men with sabres but they fought silet and not even when the fell to the ground, deadly wonded they made more sound then the sound that naturly comes when a man falls. teh three companions first didn't understood what happned but sudently a black arow came from nower and penetrated a tree just a few inches beside Phenix head

" wach out!!" Phenix said " spread out and try to find Baranlas" he yelleds to the two. a loud roar could be heard and al fighting stoped even the troll, now deadly wonded, stoped the figthing. everyone stood silent untill one more roar could be hear from the other side of the glade were they where, right after the second roar a dozen new orcs ran in and soon the entire glade were an entire battle field were orcs and men fought in life and death. on of teh black clothed men slayed a or beside Phenix but instead of runing toward another one he turned to Phenix and made an atemp to cut his arm of, luckly enougth he missed...

Baranlas
01-21-2003, 09:47 PM
Barnlas tried to run while all seemed stunned to the roar
he got a few metres, but became dizzy, he lost his footing and fell to the ground with a crack to his head, it was only a slight wound but he guessed there was some sort of poison on the arrows, he got to his knees, by now he could see some light but it was then blocked by two orcs standing over himwith a quick slash he removed the the legs of the two orcs, suddenly his body felt weak and he leaned back.
Baranlas then Cried out for help before there was no strength left in him and he fell to the ground.

Mablung
01-21-2003, 11:59 PM
Maegelen saw the cave where the orcs were crowding then drawing his sword and shield he lept upon then cutting a path too Baranlas. Seeing he was unable to move himself at the moment he knelt down then drew his bow firing at any orc that peered its head into the entrance keeping a mindful eye to the back of him. He kept firing hoping the orcs would run out before his arrows did.

Neothen
01-22-2003, 01:14 AM
Methrer walked into the cave and saw four shadowy creaures infronet of him. Methrers eyes grew with anger. "YOU DEFIE MY ORDERS YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING GROZLINS." Methrer yelled as the battle stopped. "YOU GO AHEAD AND COLLECT ORCS AND A TROLL AND TRIE TO DEFIE ME." The four firgures resembaling orcs cower as Methrer yells at them. "YOU BEGED TO LIVE INFRONT OF ME AND YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND. I HAVE A PRESENT FOR YOU IN HELL!" Methrer points his hands at the grozlins and absorbs their life force making them shrivell up.

AratheinElessar
01-22-2003, 07:44 AM
Arathein finally makes it to the cave, and is astonished that Methrer made it there before him. Slowly he walked over to a shrivelled grozlin skin, knelt down, and retrieved a short dagger, still in it's sheath, and fastened it to his leg.

"It appears I was late for the party," he said with a slight grin,"but let us gather what extra weapons we can, I got a little lost on the way her and noticed a troll fortress, not very big, but big enough to house at least 5 small trolls. There are orcs all around the entrance keeping watch.
He caught a quick glance of a red cross painted one of the fallen orc's chest, a look of dismay crossed his face.
"I fear they may already know of our presence. Quick, we haven't much time."

*Lady Arwen*
01-22-2003, 04:11 PM
Dimlondowen came shouting at them "I say wait outside you come running in here. I have been here many times before, you think I didn't know what was in here?!" She droped to her knees when she got next to Baralas "His alive, but not for long if we don't get out of here. I can heal him, if he wants we can drop him off at the next city. Lets get out of here" She picked up Baralas and started to walk away, the others followed her. " We are going to have to stay another night here" She said to the comapany. " Methrer, what were you talking about when you told those Grozlins that they 'defied your order'? "

Dimlondowen healed Baralas, some time later he awoke. "Lucky for you I learned my healing skills with Master Elrond." She said to him with a smile.

OOC: Sorry I haven't posted for so long, internet was down.

Neothen
01-22-2003, 05:36 PM
"While wandering these woods I came apon four grozlins. They wanted to serve me, so I excepted because it is easy to control those creatures. But when we got there I realized that they tried to decieve me. They gathered orcs and came after me."

*Lady Arwen*
01-22-2003, 05:44 PM
"So you punished them, " She made a strange face " You look strangely like my friend Neothen"

Neothen
01-22-2003, 05:46 PM
"Neothen," Methrer paused for a second looking at Dimlondwen, "Is my son."

Baranlas
01-22-2003, 08:29 PM
Baranlas, woke up feeling dizzy, he rembered all that happened
he sat up and got a drink of water, then got to his feet,
he spoke to the group " id like to thank you all for my rescue and to dimlondwen for healing me, i did not trust some of you as much as you deserved but you all now have my undying loyalty and friendship" he bowed to them all, he looked up again and seemed to catch on that he was disturbing a conversation between Dimlondwen and Methrer, he decided this would actually be a good time to check his equipment.

Mablung
01-22-2003, 11:40 PM
"Neothen eh? Yes I recall one of my human Ranger friends being on some sort of adventure with him some time ago. Sounded like a good fellow Ill have to mention I met his dad." Maegelen said this idly while wiping the blood from his blade and gathering arrows from the fallen corpses.

*Lady Arwen*
01-22-2003, 11:56 PM
Dimlondowen made the same strange face "Really... He never said any thing about his familly exept thet they lived in Doroth. I'll have to tell him I've met his father"

Neothen
01-23-2003, 12:56 AM
"You should never tell Neothen of me being alive. If you do then his world will fall to pieces." Methrer sat back with a worried look on his face. "Almost 15 years ago I set off to slay the final evil that threatened my home land. Neothen had just graduated from the academy and his time to be king was coming. In my travels I was captured by goblins and almost burned alive. But Vorums from Grondoron saved me. But during the time I was in the camp Neothen had gone out to look for me. He found my body hanging from a pole but i wasn't dead. He left and gained the throne in my honor. When I was saved the same Sorcerer who taunts my son took all my wizard powers. That's when I decided to stay out of my sons life and learn the ways of the Vorums."

*Lady Arwen*
01-23-2003, 01:08 AM
"Now I know why he does not talk of you... Do not worry, I shall not tell him" She dot up and went to tend to Baralas wounds.

Mablung
01-23-2003, 01:11 AM
"Well as I said I've never met him, but I will discuss it with no one outside the group we have here today." Maeg then sits down and begins strumming on his lute done with the post battle things.

Arathein was standing off to the side, smoking his pipe, staring at the dim glow of the small campfire lit by the orcs. They were at least 400m away yet no-one seemed concerned.
Sensing that something wasn't right he muttered to himself, "they are on the move," and turned to face everyong else, " the enemy is aproaching we must either make haste away from here or stand ready to fight."

He wondered fro a long time if anyone was actually awake, finally Mehtrer stirred.

Arathein reluctantly took the advice, and settled down to a restless sleep. He awoke to the sound of snapping twigs, only to find that it was Snow-Jer snapping them in its beak. Releasing one of his elven short-swords (Hanaliel he called this one) from its sheath he clutched it close to his chest and eventually drifted off into slumber.

He quickly pulled out his pipe and he wiped the dust and grit out of the intricate carving. He then proceded to light the tobacco and drew three or four long puffs.
Turning his head ever so slightly towards Dimlondowen he softly said, "where are we heading? If I can be of any assistance in forging a decent track all you have to do is call on me."

"Thankyou, I probably should offer an explanation as to the reason why i waylaid it onto you before I went to the cave."

Arathein slowly moved over to a large rock that was resting up against a tree, a tear slowly running down his face.

"This as you know is the Evenstar owned by King Aragorn Elessar, my grandfather, and Arwen Evenstar, my grandmother, before that. It is in a different state now to what legends and lays have told and sung of. It now holds a great evil within its glassy combine, an evil that has not been seen since Morgoth.
Of the elves that remained in Middle-Earth and did not go to the Grey Havens across the sea, one was corrupt. That one's name is Clarindifel and his power is greater than both Elrond and Galadriel, as it has shown."

Arathein stood up and walked for a short distance looking at the slowly rising sun in the crystal sky, her face shone brightly, Aratheins' did not.

"Clarindifel has enslaved the Elven ringbearers, Elrond and Galadriel, they are wraiths, aged beyond even their immortal lives, yet they have the speed and cunning of a healthy well trained elf. I fear that they have left the grey havens, and are on their way to me. I must get to Gandalf the white, for he escaped Clarindifel and went into hiding in Mordor. I am sorry to bring this burden upon you but I make a promise to hold it only to my own. None of you should have to be concerned with my troubles. And with your help I think my journey to Mordor will be quicker. I am truly sorry."

He let out a soft sob from his throat as he quietly got up and strode off into the trees, soon disappearing from sight.

OOC: Sorry, my internet was down.

Arathein, please try not to change the story too much. If you read the plot I posted you would notice it says "To take back the sword of Eärnur, the last king of Gondor. (before Aragorn became king)" This story takes place before the Fellowship, a few years. There were still Nazgul around Minas Morgul. We are suposed to be going to Mordor to take back Eänur sword, not to stop Clarindifel. You can keep to your story, I don't mind but please do not try to change the hole RPG. If you have a plot(I think your is very good;) ) start a new RPG to use it.

The followed the river for half an hour more and they came to a bridge, it was made of ropes and planks of wood. It looked very old. Dimlondowen stoped before the bridge, waiting the rest of the company to arive. Baralas, who was having trouble stoping his horse when they came to the bridge started to cross it. He felt a sharp, and savage pain rip through his chest and he fell to the ground. At first he thought he had been hit by an orc's arrow, but as he fell he saw the evenstar hanging about his neck.

"Is that a wraith?!" Asked Baralas
"Yes, one of the Nazgul. He has only sent one, that is a good yet bad sign. He is not overly worried with us, yet still we now ride with it behind us. We must leave as soon as the sun rises, the wraith will go away then. We must reach Edoras and fast."

They rode on through the night, as the first light apeared the reached the city of Edoras. Its golden hall glimered in the sunlight.

OOC: Will someone reply and say if Theodred can join or not!

I'm going to PM Arathein and Mablung and see if they want to still be in this RPG, or else well just leave them in Rohan. Its had to have people that don't post in an RPG.

Welcome Tolkien Adictee!

Baranlas walked into the back into the chambers where the others where still,
he had an od look on his face, and whispered in Dimlondowen "all our horses are missing from the stables and baggage from our rooms, ill be gone for a bit im going to look for them"

Phenix

Phenix who untill now had keept a low profile turned to Theodred

" you should probobly lissen to your father but if you've already ddesided ther's not much to do about it... are you sure that you've thought it over?" he said

Baranlas

"theodred wants to join our quest??, is this entirely wise?"

Gandalf White

Theodred seemed to wake from a trance, and looked around. "I think it will be wise to take Theodred with us, despite the warnings of the good king." "My foresight has seen that he will be of help."

Mablung

Maegelen sat in the back driting in an out of a trance from a sickness he had been fighting for several days now. He could barely focus on anything that was happening and drifted off to sleep while the Theodred debate raged on.

Theoden looked angry but Theodred was determend to go with them with them. Theden then said "Go then, but return soon!", Theodred bowed and we to get his things. The meeting was over.
As the got out the palace Baralas came out to meet them "I've found our horses, someone let them out of the stables and into the plains. But I cannot thing our things."

Thelkon could not think what could possibly have happened to their supplies. "I'm sure we can get supplies here, though," he said.

OOC: I'm sorry Lady Arwen, but when I read But I cannot thing our things." I was really tired and I just lost it! :D Wow, what a good laugh. :)

I started laughing when I read that too.;)

Baranlas

"thelkon the fact that are supplies are missing is not the major point
the fact the horses got out,, now correct me if im wrong but i doubt any horse has the ability to unties its self and open the gate to the stables, i think someone maybe trying to slow us down"

*Lady Arwen*
03-03-2003, 03:21 PM
" You are right Baralas, someone did nt want us to leave. They must know were we are going and what we will do, yet they do not want us to do it. We must leave Edoras as soon as possible. We must buy supplies and leave today still." At that moment Theodred came by, mountesd on his horse.

*Lady Arwen*
03-09-2003, 08:29 PM
After the got more supplies they were soon on their way, they planned to arrive in Minas Tirith the next day. That is if nothing stoped them.
It was late in the night when they decided to stop for camp. They all sat around a small fire when they started to hear strang noises...

OOC: You should try to post more!!!!;)

Thelkon, who had been cleaning his sword, quietly wiped one of his potions on the blade, and prepared for the worst.

Dimlondowen, too drew her sword. She noticed the others had their weapons, but Theodred. He was not used to the danger in the wild and had left his weapons with the rest of his things, on his horse. Phenix gave him a dager, without anyone noticing.

The creatures around made a noise ( which sounded like a strange language) and started to charge. The company was ready to take them, it was a small company of creatures that resembled orcs but were diferent in some way. There were 10 in total, Phenix killed two with his knifes and Theodred, one. Baralas, Methrer and Thelkon each got one with their sword. Mablung killed two with Elven arrows. Dimlondowen also killed one with her sword and as the last fleed from his dieing companions she folowed it. "Do not let it get away! It'll was the rest of it's band to come!"

Phenix
03-11-2003, 09:09 PM
"what was those?" Phenix said as he dried his blade on an enimies' clothes... a small screem where heard and after a few seconds Dimlondowen, carrying her blody sword came back " I suppose you got it" Phenix said to her

*Lady Arwen*
03-11-2003, 09:13 PM
Dimlondowen made sure that the orc was dead before going back to the rest of the company. "Looks like we will not rest this night. We should leave before more orcs come. " They all grabbed their supplies and mounted their horses, they turned to the direction of Minas Tirith.
After they had ridden for a while and the danger was behind them Theodred asked "Those creatures ware not like the orcs I have seen. They were bigger, stronger and beter skilled. " "They were Uruk-Hai, a crossbread of diferent orcs. Saruman, the white wizard created them. I fear he has joined side with Sauron, the dark lord." Dimlondowen explained.

OOC: This is before LOTR

IC: Silence fell apon them as they rode on. They rode on through the night, when the sun rose they stoped for rst and food.

Baranlas started to cook some meat he had stolen from rohan
which he burnt slightly, the smell and smoke rose into the air about them
"it should not ake us long to get to my land if we carry on like this for a couple more nights and i think we should travel with the greatest speed"

OOC: will this cross over with events in LOTR or not i think it would be kinda intresting if it did :)

Neothen

03-12-2003, 07:47 PM
OOC: We can't cross with the fellowship. In LOTR Theodred is dead, here he is alive. I tring to keep the two stories close and I think I've found a solution:
Theodred will die, he goes back to Rohan and then we meat with the fellowship.

03-14-2003, 08:53 PM
They rode for the entire day, stoping only to rest by the sides of riverbanks. They continued like this for two days, for the fear that evil was behind them grew with every passing hour.

They finaly arrived the the guarded city of Minas Tirith. Baralas called when they arrived a the door "I am Baralas a knight of Gondor. Me and my company desire to enter the white tower to rest. We have been travelling for a long time without rest."Soon after the doors were opened to let them enter.

After they had all entered a guard came down and asked "Tell me your names so that I can tell them to the steward of the city. " "I am Baralas, knight of Gondor as you know." "I am Maegelen, elf of rivendell." "I am Phenix Blackwood, also of Rivendell" "I am Thelkon." "I am Methrer Madoc, of Doroth" (hope I haven't forgoten anyone) The guard had so far ignored Dimlondowen, finally he asked her "And what is your name elf maiden? " Anger grew in Dimlondowen, she pulled out a dagger and said "Do I look like a maiden to you, sir" She said sarcasticly, she had always hated being taken by a maiden, people thinking she was weaker becuse she was a lady.

As they climbed the steps the met with a guard at the door, wearing the white tree on his clothes. He made them take off all their armor, which they left by the door. Another guard led them to a large room where, where 3 men were waiting.
One was an older man, Denother, the steward of the city. The other two were younger, who were introduced as Boromir and Faramir, the sons of Denother.

Dimlondowen kneled before the steward " Might lord of Gondor, I am Dimlondowen, lady of Rivendell"
"Why have you come to my city, what do you seek? I have heard you travel West, towards the lands of Mordor." The steward replied.
"It is true my lord, we travel towards the dark land. We are headign towad the Morgul city." Boromir made a slight movement, as if he was nervous.
"And what takes you toward such an evil place. Do you seek death? For it is all you will find there." Said the Steward, sure of his words.
" But there is more than death waiting in the Morgul vale, you might know of it. For you have seeked it many times, tis the sword of Eänur, last king of Gondor"
"Then for sure you will return it to its house, the house of Gondor." Said Denother, now eager.
"I shall take it to Rivendell, were its true house dwells. The house of the decendents of Elendil."
"Nonsence! There are no decendents of Elendil, they have all died or gotten themselfs killed! Gondor has no king, only a mighty steward!"
To this Dimlondowen did not anwser, she looked back at the steward's angry face, in a way that none could see what she was thinking. She waited to see if her companions had something to say of all this, she just hoped they didn't favor him.

Though it now belongs to my son, the sword still belongs to the family even if the family has diminished. But it hasn't and I'm sure that you know that." Methrer was getting to be a bit more steadfast with his words as he narrowed his gaze.

The steward caught sight of Theodred and sudenly his anger vanished, for a moment forgoten.
"And is this not the son of the lord of Rohan?" The steward said as Theodred bowed.
"I am Theodred, son of Theoden, king of Rohan" Theodred said, Denother seemed a bit annoyed with the word "king" but Theodred took no notice.
"And why do you put yourself in danger, by going to seek death. I am sure you father does not agree."
"He let me come, thought was not glad of it."
"Then why do you not wait here, in the comfort of my city while your friends continue their quest? "
Theodred paused to think, he had not been enjoying their travel so far. No sleep and too much fighting.
"My sons will make sure that your stay is a plesent one" The steward reasured Theodred. Theodred finally gave in and decided to stay in Gondor, and when they returned from their quest they would pass through Gondor and then take him to Rohan. At this the Steward made a sly smile. It was just what he wanted, when the company come back thought Gondor he would take the sword of Eänur for himself.

Thelkon noticed the sly smile and perceived the evil intent, yet said nothing at the time. Later, while in his room, he thought of the possible meaning of it all, as well as the next leg of their journey. He wondered when they would start, being anxious to leave the city and resume the adventure.

Dimlondowen sighed "WE are not safe behind the walls of a great city, were a lord tries to steal the object we seek on our quest. " She looked out were orc cries were starting to be heard "Nor out in the open were servants of the dark lord come after us." She said no more as she pulled her sword. "We have a choice, we can mount our horses andrun from here. We can cross the river, for the orcs shall not follow. Or we can stay and fight, usually I would not question a fight but it is dark and we cannot know how many enemies lie in the shadows. What choice shall we make?" She asked the company

Gandalf White

Thelkon paused and thought through the options. Our horses cannot cross the river, and to flee is dangerous, for we know not by how many we are pursued, or what may lie ahead. I say we stand and fight!
He uttered some words, and from his left hand slowly but steadily came a glow, light, yet dark and ominous. He thrust it in the air revealing several orcs nearby, and other dark shapes beyond. "Forward!" he cried, and threw his dagger into a nearby orc's neck.

Afterwards the company had a hurried breakfast, then moved on, not wanting to stay in one spot too long.
