I wanted to know what has happened to the land of Beleriand thats lies west of the Ered Luin In the map of the Simmarillion and it can't be seen anymore in the map of The Lord Of The Rings.

Could anyone answer me?
Thank you! :)

If you read the Silmarillion it is explained.

It is indeed explained. But personally if I ask a question, its because I want to know the answer. So for that reason... I will answer!

At the end of the First Age, Morgoth was finally defeated in the War of Wrath. At this time, the Valar caused Beleriand to be sunk beneath the sea.

At the end of the First Age, Morgoth was finally defeated in the War of Wrath. At this time, the Valar caused Beleriand to be sunk beneath the sea.

It wan't an intentional action on part of Valar, In the War between the Forces of Aman and Morgoth, Beleriand was greatly effected, broken and sunk.
