Here ya go. Who is interested in some serious (or lighthearted. Ick.) RPGs? I am! I don't know if too many of you are into RPGs. I am! I am fed up with most of the RPGs we have around here. sorry about that. We need some originality! We need some RPGs based on Tolkien stuffs! Not more of those crazy things where people have to make up totally new stuffs to have fun! sorry if you're into any of those things. If you are, I'll say I'm sorry and go on thinking.

Tolkien RPGs with crazy stuffs thrown in? Well, it depends on what you have in mind. Throw some ideas out before I spill my guts on the RPG to end all RPGs that I'm planning!
What kind of stuff in particular? I don't know. Probably stuffs like ---> What are your favorite plots? What kind of characters do you like? How can we keep people interested in our RPGs? I have plenty of ideas. I just want to hear what other people have to say.

we were talking about chocolate in the who's who thread, but then that could just be a side plot

Got it. Chocolate. Craziness. Side plot. Good. You people usually like craziness in your RPGs? I'm not averse to that. I just like smart RPGs. *gasp!*

Crazy rpgs are cool, as long as they're done well. The Outcast rpg can't suck.

Well, here's an idea I'm using for another RPG. You can steal it if ya like. About ten years after the WotR, a bunch of dwarves travel to Gondor. They here that Sauron's fortress has been pretty well cleared out of evil by the noble elves and soldiers and stuff, so they figure why not travel through Mordor to Barad-Dur to reclaim some of the treasures stolen from them by pillaging orcs and others, and maybe pick up some nice stuff that ain't exactly their's. Unfortunately, while trying to hire a soldier or two at a tavern to act as guard, a barmaid overhears their plan and spreads the word around to a few of her patrons. Next thing ya know, a slightly larger group ends up trekking through Mordor, including the nosy barmaid. Not sure where to fit the chocolate.

Can I add my RP on that I have on another website? Its really good, I can assure you. I've got the webmaster and 2 mods to join without me doing anything, so it must be good.

Well, tell us what it's about first. As far as I know, this is just a place to throw ideas around and help each other out with them. Nobody's stopping anybody from starting something. Yay for the elf person's idea! I see no problem with that. Maybe there's just a group of Southrons that invented chocolate and are hoarding it. Southrons could still be living in the places this elf person is talking about.

Dwarves...barmaids...Mordor...chocolate...I like this idea! Let's do it!

Woah! No other ideas? Sure, I guess we could just keep coming up with ideas and keep coming up with more RPGs until the whole front page of the RPG sections were for Outcasts. *has fun picturing that for a while* :D

Ok. Heres the story:
The Story A long while back, while walking in the forest one day, Ganfred Lorebrow stumbles upon a sword. Now knowing of its great powers, he pickes it up and takes it for his own. After talking to a couple of friends about his findings, they say it is the Sword of Doom, the ost powerful and infamous sword in all of Middle Earth. It was used by the evil Molgath when he killed the Elven king, Marin Snowarrow. He has been sence killed by the elven army, and the sword was lost for years to come. It is now known as the Sword of Doom, for it still as lots of evil power left in it. Now Molgath's son, Molgan, is on a quest to take back his fathers sword and continue where his father left off in trying to take over Middle Earth. Molgan has sent out 8 men, in groups of two, to different parts of Middle Earth to find where the Sword of Doom is hiding, and the Molgan will more than likely send out more and more men until the Sword of Doom is retreived and is in his possesion. That means it is Ganfred's job to make sure the sword stays out of Molgan's possesion at all costs.
Heres the heres what it is about:
Ganfred stumbles into the Prancing Pony soaking from the downpour outside. "Could I have a room?", he asks. "Sure.......let me check to see whats open.......room 107, right this way..." answers the innkeeper. Ganfred follows the innkeeper up a flight upstairs and down a hall until he reaches room 107. "Heres your room, sir." the innkeeper says. "Thank you. Good-bye for now." Ganfred walks into his room, sets down his possesions, and walks downstairs towards the bar.
After of hours of drinking and gossiping, Ganfred walks back up to his room, and plops onto the bed. After a few minutes of laying down and looking at the roof, he remembers something. "I need to check to see that my items are all in order." After checking through his items, he realises something is missing. "MY SWORD!" he cries out. "WHERE IS IT!?" after searching for about an hour, he decides that one of Molgan's men took it.
In the morning, Ganfred gets up in a hurry, and puts a sign outside the Prancing Pony says.
Looking for people to join me on a quest. Meet me inside the Prancing Pony.
How does it sound? Please post your feelings about it here.

Hmmm, interesting idea munchkin. Rather heroic, haven't joined many hero quests, but who knows? Maybe I'll join this one. Yeah, that'd be great Yay, the whole page filled with less-than-noble Outcast RPGs. :D Well, I'll see about trying to get mine up, although I'd like to have more people in it. Not sure how to go about-recruiting? Is that the word? Oh well. Basically everyone who reads it and is interested PM me I guess and I'll see about the other stuff. Yay, whatever happened to that old RPG idea you and I thought up? Think anyone here be interested in that? Just curious.

munchkin person, your RPG doesn't sound too bad. A little simple, though. Thinking about adding a twist? *jumps up and down* It just doesn't sound very Outcastish, but that's okay. I guess.
If you want me to help with recruiting, I know lots of RPGers over here. Any specific kinds of characters you want in it, or should I just call anybody? About the RPG we came up with earlier, I was trying to wait until I had more time to come here, but sure, we can start it anytime. Need to talk about it more? I'm always ready to help!

Maybe we could work on it and make it a little more Outcastish...
Dragon

I like it, i'm in! (if that's ok)
I know I'm obsessive, but could we have an eensy weensy bit about chocolate?
I don't know much about forum RPGs, but I learn fast!
munchkin
01-31-2003, 06:59 PM
sure, the dude who stole my sword could have stole my last chocolate bar, then it would be more outcastish!
YayGollum
01-31-2003, 08:32 PM
Well, whatever you people decide. I'm just thinking that your RPG needs something more definite. As far as I know, the characters would just be wandering around Middle Earth, looking for someone with your sword, even though we don't know who or where to look.
munchkin
01-31-2003, 08:37 PM
well, we know that the person who has the sword is proably working for Molgan or whatever crazy names I came up with, so the dude must be evil
YayGollum
01-31-2003, 09:42 PM
Yeah, I get that, but it still seems like a long shot that you'd ever find the dude if you have no clues. oh well. I'm sure that you have some planned. Go ahead and make the thing. Nobody's stopping you. Nobody's stopping anybody from making any of these RPGs. I'm just putting this thread here so people can use it if they want to get some input.

that just means it'll last longer and be wackier(is that a word?)
YayGollum
02-02-2003, 05:41 AM
What's wrong with long and wacky RPGs? oh well. Why can't wackier be a word? I don't see anything wrong with it.

wackier is a good word...i like that...wackier...

I would hope so! Didn't I see two other ideas over here? oh well. What else? How's about everybody here go and talk in my new RPG bar? :D Or maybe we should all post superly cool profiles? Or maybe we should come up with a new idea? I want to do something with a huge and big and scary bad guy that just happens to be original!

I believe it. Anyways, I answered my own question. Found a way to incorporate Fastitocalon and one of those things that are barely mentioned in FOTR. Something about weird and giant and ancient things that make tunnels underground. Under Moria. Anybody know what I'm talking about? oh well. Now I just need more of a plot.

Hellooo? Anybody paying attention to this thread anymore? Now I'm advertising for that new giant and castle RPG in the serious section. The dude who made it said that he needs more of a plot. Anybody wanna help him? :(
