I know in black speach:
One ring to rule them all, one ring to...yada yada
Ash Nazg durbatuluk, Ash Nazg gimbatul, Ash Nazg tharantuluk, Agh-Burzum ishi Krimpatul!
So:
Nazg=Ring
Ash=One
Uluk=Them all

You guys should check out ardalambion.com if you'd like to learn Tolkien's languages. Also, you are welcome to join our Quenya course in the Guild of Tolkienology (thread entitled "Common Quenya Course"). You'd have to catch up to lesson 6, but we'd be glad to help you along the way. :)

Yes www.ardalambion.com is great for Tolkien Linguistics. The Quenya course on there is superb! If you want to learn Sindarin I suggest going over to www.councilofelrond.com and checking out their Sindarin course.

Hmm, let's see...
Ach Nazg = One Ring, so Nazg = ring.
Let's say
Nazgul = ringwraith, so Gul = wraith.
Barad Dur = the Dark Tower, so Dur = tower.
From that we can find out that
Dol Guldur = something wraith tower...
but it doesn't make sense. Can anyone say what those really mean ?

You are right, Nazg is ring however, Nazgul means something more like "Ring-Black-magic"
Barad Dur is actually Sindarin and means "dark tower". Barad being tower, and Dur meaning dark in lenited form

Dur is lenited? since when? The articles that cause lenition arent in front of it?

If you want to learn Elvish this site is awesome:
www.grey-company.org
It has a word search and dictionary, common phrases and sayings. It's pretty cool.

Actually, the Grey Company site listed above does not teach Tolkien's Elvish languages. "Grey Company" Elvish bears almost no resemblance to the languages of Middle-earth. The people who created the site merely made up their own language, which bears a slight phonetic resemblance to Quenya.
The best site to go to to study Tolkien's languages is Ardalambion, as given above.

>>Dur is lenited? since when? The articles that cause lenition arent in front of it?<<
quite right, I was thinking lenition in compounds (thinking the lenited form of tur "mastery victory" instead of dur "dark"). My bad :)

The best (in my opinion) dictionary in Sindarin is Dragon Flame. You can download it here (http://www.geocities.com/almacq.geo/sindar/sdintro.html) .

Thanks for the link! I was in HUGE need of a Sindarin dictionary. Unfortunately the site said it was undergoing updates or something...
Maybe I didn't do it right?

Nazgul is Black Speech, in which language Tolkien translates gūl as: 'any one of the major invisible servants of Sauron dominated entirely by his will.' ~JRRT
Sindarin Dol Guldur ~ gūl means 'magic, sorcery'.

First of all...Barad Dur isn't Black Speak. It's Elvish for DArk Tower (more like tower dark) So dur is dark and barad is tower.
Dol Gulder means something rather like black land.
Gul doesn't mean wraith. Nazgul is one word meaning ringwraith, which is one word.
Th ring saying is right. that is very easy to translate.
Just wanted to let you know!

Dol Guldūr litterally means 'Hill of Dark Sorcery'. Dol, wich is 'Head of a Hill' is just shortened to 'Hill' and Gul and Dūr put together equal 'Dark Sorcery'.
And Nazgūl literally means 'Ring Sorcery'. But it's commonly reffered to as Ringwraiths for some reason...
Yes, Gul means land, but Gūl, wich is found in Nazgūl, means Sorcery. Nazg means Ring, Gūl means sorcery. Wraiths can be associated with Sorcery, so that must be why Nazgūl means Ringwraiths.
And I never said Ringwraith means 'Ring sorcery'.
Please refrain from posting many posts in a row!
