Hi everyone ...
I am really new at this so I hope I get this right ... I do have a question for your speculation .... just let me vent a little!
When I first saw TTT I didn't like it ... It seemed that after waiting a year they left us hanging after 3 hours ..
The characters didn't feel the same as when we left them in TFOTR ... I know it is the middle movie ... RoTk will fix most inconsistancies ...

Take Aragorn trying to give back the gift to Arwen ... It just doesn't fit ... and it made me mad ...and sad!
I don't like how mean Elrond is being to Aragorn when he raised him as a son ...

Then we see Arwen leaving (which I know she doesn't) ..

Then in the books Aragorn isn't that friendly to Eowyn ...
And I can surmise why Pj has the character doing that ... Aragorn believes Arwen has left ... and it helps develope Eowyn and set up why she will eventually risk her life with Merry in the battle against the witch king ...

then the rumor of Arwen at helms deep ... ??

I realize things may have been cut for time; and that the Ext. DVD may put back some of the continuity in the film ... that seems to be missing in the character develpment.

Ok hear is my question ?
With all the characters seemingly so weak at the moment ... or at least different then the book.
How will they get Narsil and the banner to Aragorn? And how will it be made known to him that Arwen hasn't left? Can anyone see it fitting into the movie? Does it happen as they ride to Isengarde to confront sauruman? I would love to hear anyones ideas. Especially ones who have read the books and can visulize it happening.
I also believe that Eowyn has to have her heart broken so she can react and go into battle. Do you think she will see Arwen and Aragorn together? Or will they do it like in the books where Aragorn just refuses to let her go with him to potd?

I know to some it isn't a major part, but it is an underlying part of the overall plot. Aragorn in the books does always know he is fighting for a bigger purpose.

thanks in advance for being kind to me ...

:p :p

Many theorize that Arwen will deliver the sword to Aragorn. Somehow, I doubt this though. I just think that Arwen at Aragorn meeting again before Sauron is defeated will not seem right. Perhaps Elrond will deliver it? I really don't know on this one.

Your theory about Eowyn being brokenhearted after seeing Arwen and Aragorn together may make this all fit though.

Well my intereptation of Arwen seamingly leaving, was that she wasnt thats why when the camera panned to Elrond, u could see a pissed off expression! I think she told him she was ganna stay! But that would be cool if Arwen brought the Sword to Aragorn but it also would suck. I kind of want it like the book was how Elrond sort of "delivered" her to aragorn after the war was over. I would like to see Elrond deliver it and regain his "hope" in this war!!!

I could/might be Elrond's two son's (I forgot their name) or the Rangers from the north or whoever from the Grey Company.

Ithil Draug wrote in: "One of my friend's cousins actually helped work on Lord of the Rings and when I saw the report on the possibility of Arwen at Helm's Deep, I told him about this and told him to ask his cousin. About a week later he told me that his cousin said Arwen was indeed at the Battle of Hornburg. Arwen was supposed to have run away with Asfaloth from the Elves going to the Havens and joined the Rohirrim riders with Gandalf. He further went on to report that New Line was going to have a scene with her riding down the hill and talk[ing] to Aragorn saying something about her "choice" or "I am with you." New Line [or Peter Jackson, perhaps - Tehanu] cut this scene out and decided to put her scene in the background in order to make it look like many riders charging down the hill.

I think this is how Aragorn will get Narsil.

I think Elrond will bring the sword to Aragorn. He will accompany Aragorn on the Paths of the Dead in the place of his sons.

That would be a great substitute since we havent seen anything of his sons (besides in the EE FOTR)
