Hi everyone ...
I am really new at this so I hope I get this right ... I do have a question for your speculation .... just let me vent a little!
When I first saw TTT I didn't like it ... It seemed that after waiting a year they left us hanging after 3 hours ..
The characters didn't feel the same as when we left them in TFOTR ... I know it is the middle movie ... RoTk will fix most inconsistancies ...
Take Aragorn trying to give back the gift to Arwen ... It just doesn't fit ... and it made me mad ...and sad!
I don't like how mean Elrond is being to Aragorn when he raised him as a son ...
Then we see Arwen leaving (which I know she doesn't) ..
Then in the books Aragorn isn't that friendly to Eowyn ...
And I can surmise why Pj has the character doing that ... Aragorn believes Arwen has left ... and it helps develope Eowyn and set up why she will eventually risk her life with Merry in the battle against the witch king ...
then the rumor of Arwen at helms deep ... ??
I realize things may have been cut for time; and that the Ext. DVD may put back some of the continuity in the film ... that seems to be missing in the character develpment.
Ok hear is my question ?
With all the characters seemingly so weak at the moment ... or at least different then the book.
How will they get Narsil and the banner to Aragorn? And how will it be made known to him that Arwen hasn't left? Can anyone see it fitting into the movie? Does it happen as they ride to Isengarde to confront sauruman? I would love to hear anyones ideas. Especially ones who have read the books and can visulize it happening.
I also believe that Eowyn has to have her heart broken so she can react and go into battle. Do you think she will see Arwen and Aragorn together? Or will they do it like in the books where Aragorn just refuses to let her go with him to potd?
I know to some it isn't a major part, but it is an underlying part of the overall plot. Aragorn in the books does always know he is fighting for a bigger purpose.
thanks in advance for being kind to me ...
:p :p
