Pretty good article on the Iraq situation - quite balanced and dispassionate review of many of the dynamics and old politics at work at the heart of the debate.
'I make a stink, therefore I am' (http://www.msnbc.com/news/871379.asp)
By the early 1960s, DeGaulle was demanding that France wean itself from “American tutelage” and by the middle of the decade had ordered that all U.S. troops be removed from French soil. (This led to one of the most clever responses in American diplomatic history. Secretary of State Dean Rusk, requesting clarification of the French demand, asked whether the order included removal of those buried in French soil, too.)

I agree completely. Nice to see some people are capable of having a balanced view on the matter. Thanks for posting the link. The issues mentioned under 'Oceans Apart' are quite right too. One could fill an entire GOP with those.:D
By the way, I don't think people wish for the opening of graves when they yell, 'Yankee, go home!'. ;)

here's a fact that to me is quite unbelievable...
65% of spains population is against the support of their parlemant with the war against iraq
2% agrees with the policy of the gouvernment....
(I didn't know where to post this....)

More food-for-thought;
This isn't about Iraq anymore. (http://www.msnbc.com/news/873553.asp#BODY)

I feel the writer has a point. The mood in Europe is turning from anti-war to anti-american, and that has a lot to do with the 'we do as we please' attitude as shown by mr. Bush and mr. Rumsfeld. Opposed to the 'look, we've got a serious problem' as I see potrayed by mr. Powell and other US citizens.
The whole civilized world agrees mr. Saddam is a bad person, but the real issue might be the fact that the US is the last superpower left and Europe (as a good personal friend) is afraid it might go rampant. I know I am.
