A silver axe whirled as it flew through the air. It rooted deep into the trunk of a tree with a loud thud.

The Axethrowing class was now open.

Another throwing axe came flying through the air, and landed right next to it.
Chokang son of Dwalin stood a few meters away, grinning.

Chokang's axe was immediately split into by a stronger and sharper axe, one of Dain's hand crafted Zirik-barak, the silver axes of Erebor.

"Ha! My friend, that is how we throw axes where I come from!" Dain winked, and embraced his old friend Alkorr from days long past.

"Dain, my friend. How is your luck with the training masters?" Alkorr asked, launching a hatchet at the tree. The small hatchet lodged into the handle of Dain's silver axe, causing the dwarf to reveal another of his throwing axes. This time, Dain appeared to be aiming at Alkorr. Alkorr began to laugh, but was silenced as Dain's throwing axe flew by his shoulder. The axe whistled through the air, and found a squirrel.

As the body of the squirrel separated and fell to the soft earth, Dain let out a hearty laugh.

"Dain, it is against policy to do such a thing but... that was a remarkable throw! Let's see another..." Alkorr laughed.

Grandlyon walks in the class laughing after seeing Dain's throw. "Grandlyon Grunsrock at your service." says the dwarf.

"Hello, good dwarf. At the present time, we are just preparing to begin, so you may practice if you wish. Axes are in the small shed behind you." Alkorr said to the newcomer and pointed to a small shelter, filled with boxes of throwing axes.

The axes were not of great value, but were good for practice.

"Hear ye! Hear ye!" shouted Kilease, jingling a massive bell. "Due to the mysterious departure of our beloved Azog, this class has been moved to the Dwarf Darrow until his return!"

Falim snatched the bell from Kilease. "Now you know you hurt yourself with those things, fair damsel," he said. Kilease snorted and grunted at him, and carried the supplies to the Dwarf Darrow, in the training cavern.

Grandlyon walks in the training room with a lost look on his face.

"Is this the Axe throwing class?"

The dwarf asks sheepishly.

*Tolir stomps in after the Grandlyon Dwarf, dragging a huge battle axe* after seeing the already thrown axes ---> "Yes, I think so. Well, I'm ready and eager to learn. This axe is probably too big for throwing, but we have classes here that can help me make new ones here. In the meantime, I'm sure that I could borrow some throwing axes."

Falim handed Tolir and Grandlyon two practice axes that gleamed in the firey torchlight. "These shall serve well enough for your lessons," said Falim, Kilease stumbled in behind him.

"First lessons first, one must learn how to hold the axe. You must not hold it by the end, you must hold it by the axe head, similar to a throwing knife. If you held it by the handle and then threw, the axe would plummet into the earth and miss your target. The only time you would throw it by the handle is if you were aiming downwards. Any questions?" Falim instructed.

*Tolir holds the axe the way he's instructed to, but looks at it with all kinds of confusion since he's not used to holding them this way and hopes that his clumsiness won't get in the way here* to the Dwarf talking to them ---> "No, sir. What's next?"

Grandlyon holds up his axe with delite. It has been sometime since he was in battle. He missed the feeling of an axe in his hands very much.

"I have no questons here sir and dame."

He said to Falim and Kilease.

Chokang smirked at Falim,
"When shall we start learning about the art of throwing axes, old dwarf? Where I was brought up, we learnt this skill before we could walk!"
To prove his point, Chokang threw one of his throwing-axes into the air above him and waited patiently. Just before the axe came back to the ground, he caught it, and without adjusting his grip, threw it at a squirrel standing in a tree about two-dozen meters away.
As the squirrel dropped to the ground, Chokang stood, and awaited his next task.

Falim snorted in contempt. "It seems we have a showoff here, eh? Well if Dain were here, he'd show you a thing or two! Unfortunately I know only the basics of axes, my expertise lies in the field of spears! Kilease shall show you her skill I am sure!" he said, glancing at the hefty Dwarf who was trying to communicate with the dead squirrel.

"She shall instruct you well!" he added.

Kilease sat beside the squirrel rocking back and forth and stroking its torn and mutilated body. She stood up and walked towards Chokang until she was staring into his face, her eyes on fire. "First thing young man! We do not kill squirrels! And we do not call our teachers 'old dwarf!' You have many manners to learn, and I will see that you learn them!" Her breath smelled of liquor and her face was drawn, but her voice did not shake and held earnestness in its every breath. Then turning around to face Grandlyon and Tolir, she wobbled a little bit and said in a thick voice, "Class is dismissed," and ran from the room.

*Tolir stands there looking a just a little bit confused and dissappointed, but puts the throwing axe back from whereever it came from, makes slight bows to the teachers, and hustles back to that Dwarf Darrow place, wondering what he's supposed to call the teachers, if not teachers*

While walking out of the classroom Grandlyon mutters to Chokang.

" Nice first impression. Hey if you have any spare time can you show me how to do that trick. I can fight alright but I'm not to good on the fancy stuff."

Chokang burst into laughter at the sight of Kilease becoming so emotional.
"Sure, I'll give you a few pointers next lesson," he said, turning to Grandlyon, "There's nothing to it."
Chokang then quickly jogged around the place, and collected all his throwing axes, before heading back to the Dorms.
