ok, i found this site while researching elvish tongues for a thesis, but even i'm confused now. does this make sense to anyone else? http://www.uib.no/people/hnohf/

A degree in linguistics would certainly help!

The site is useful, but the text is not structured for easy reading, and there is a tendency to use abbreviations (eg: pr.t and pa.t for present and past tense on the Suggested Conjugation page). Otherwise, it looks like a really good resource site.

I think the site looks more daunting than it really is. Don't be put off, I think a love of Tolkien languages is enough if you're really serious. I don't have a linguistics degree either.
