OOC: Good battle Dain, and an excellent end. I can see you are a good rper!
A figure comes down from the stands and jumps into the arena"I am putting a challenge out, who will take me up on my offer?" asked the figure cloaked in black. She awaits her opponent, she makes comfortable the belt on her sword.
*sigh* I guess no one wants to battle.
Ashari stepped into the Arena once more. "I will battle you, Angoreth," the Hobbit said. "It is nice to see a new face around here." She took her short staff Waverush out of the case on her back and assumed a battle stance. Ashari waited for Angoreth to strike, on her toes and ready to take anything that her opponent could throw at her.
*Finally an opponent. hello Ashari I hope this to be a fair fight so we can go to the golden axe inn when we are finished* she said with a grin.Angoreth put her right foot in front of her body to prepare for her attack. She slowly took her sword from it's sheath fliped it to get a good grip. Angoreth now with full force came at Ashari with a blow straight down.
With a movement almost quicker than the eye could see, Ashari flipped her staff upward to block the blow. She tried to thrust Angoreth's sword back towards her, but Angoreth had all her weight on Ashari's staff. Ashari pushed Angoreth's sword to the side with her staff, and then darted in the oppposite direction and around to Angoreth's back. Angoreth spun around, which was just the movement that Ashari anticipated. Ashari charged Angoreth, aiming towards her middle and making it look like she was going to deal a blow to Angoreth's stomach, but at the last second Ashari lowered her staff and hit Angoreth in the left kneecap, shattering it.
*AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH*Angoreth screamed out in pain.*I can barley stand on my left leg* she said to her self, * but i am just as strong*, with that Angoreth lunged at Ashari who didn't have enough time to get out of the way. Angoreth came at her with a blow to her left arm, and with that angoreth fell on her right leg, slowly she picked herself up by leaning on her sword.*how am i going to block her next attack, she might be small but my leg is of no help* she said to herself.
The gash Angoreth had made in Ashair's left arm was very deep and pained the hobbit emensly and was bleeding profusly, but she gritted her teeth and switched her staff to her right hand. Seeing Angoreth stagger, Ashari charged her once more, but Angoreth was ready. She blocked the blow Ashari delt towards her right leg, but Ashari once again shoved Angoreth's sword to the side and went for her right kneecap. The hobbit succeeded in shattering it too, but Angoreth mangaged to stab Ashari in the right shoulder before the hobbit stepped back some paces to catch her breath.
Ashari and Angoreth stood there in the arena trying to catch there breath.Angoreth now unable to stand sat on her butt and thought of a way to attack, but it seemed hopless. Ashari seeing that all hope had left Angoreth charged at her once more hoping it to be the finall blow,Angoreth held up her sword against Ashari's staff, the two stood(or sat, but to Ashari Angoreth was just her size) the two seemed unmovable,Angoreth seeing Ashari moving to the side once more she countered her attack, and with a blow to Ashari's left hip, blood gushed from her side.Ashari in intense pain reached over and tore a peice of cloth from her shirt and tied it around her wound, while Angoreth now waited for Ashari's attack. Angoreth now turned and asked,* is there not a judge to watch over our battle? And isen''t there a way for an elf to heal her self, so she can atlest stand on her own feet*.
Ashari tried to find a way to finish off her opponent, and then it occured to her. She still had her hobbit-bow and arrows. She unslung her bow from her back, took an arrow out of her quiver, and nocked it to the string. She was about to pull her arrow back, but a wave of dizziness swept over the hobbit. She was loosing too much blood. Ashari staggerd, dropped her bow, and fell on one knee. "Well, Angoreth, it looks as if we have a tie," she said to the elf. "You can't stand on your own two feet and I can barely keep my head off the ground. You are a fiersome opponent. Good fight." With that, Ashari passed out and lay unconcious in the dirt.
*That was a great battle, you put up a tuff fight, for a hobit.*she said with a grin. *To me you show great streangh, and in my book I think you came out the better end* she said with a wink. Angoreth helped Ashari to the stands as best she could, and the two sat there regaining streangth.
*steps forward* "will no one accept a challenge from a new comer longing for the feel of battle once again?" Theoden's fingers rest on the hilt of Herugrim as he awaits an opponent to face
*I shall face you*. said a dark figure that went by the name Lamerend.
"Lamerend you have a willing opponent, let this be an honourable battle" with that Theoden unsheathed Herugrim, got a good grasp on the hilt and prepared himself for battle
* then a battle this shall be* she said with a smurk.* Ah, but challenger has first attack*. she unsheathed ardemin. and readed herself, she put her shield on her arm and let her bow hang on her back.
Theoden lifted his helmet to his head, and stood for a moment he felt the wind on his face and the heat of the sun warm his coat of mail then suddenly without warning charged forward, bringing his sword back to deliver a mighty blow downwards
lamerend blocked his blow by putting her sword up against his she shuved him back,he stumbled a few steps back. She charged at him, she throiugh a blow to his left arm he kept on fighting as if he didn't feel it he stabed at her and got her left rist. she charged at his left knee cap.
an older child around 15 y.o. steps into the arena, but quickly moves into the shadows in the arena.
lamerend had her eyes set on Theoden's knee cap, she didn't see Theoden pull out his dagger. Theoden stabbed the dagger into her leg, but at that exact moment Lamerend also swung her sword at Thoden's leg slashing his leg and knocking him to the floor
Lameredn grinded her teeth in pain as she pulled the dagger from her leg, "You didn't lie when you said worthy opponent" she said as she kicked him in his side, roled over in pain as she kicked him one more time. Lamerend seeing her chance stepped back and pulled her bow from around her neck she pulled an aroow from her back pouch and waited for the right shot, quick and painless.
