Hello! I've been wanting to get some elvish phrases down for a D&D game I'm a part of, and I want to make sure I'm getting them right. The one I'm having the most trouble with is, "the sun is setting". Looking on the elvish dictionary I've come up with "I andúanarië" (the= i, sun= anar, is= -ië, setting (of the sun)= andú-) I want to make sure everything is in order before I start speaking, lol.

    Thank you!

I'm not the ideal person to answer this question but the problem with all this is that some words are there and others don't exist. I've tried to make several different names before and i was not able to finish many of them because of the lack of some words, constantly switching dialects back and forth. Some are known in some forms of Elvish but are gone in others and this was kind of a bummer because some of the names were turning out pretty good but could not finish them.

You're mixing Quenya with Primitive Elvish. I actually don't think that phrase can be written in any form of Elvish, but
I andúanarië would do it for the game.

"the Sun is setting" is simply Anar nútea.
