    Hi guys,

Hope this isn't a stupid question but I've been thinking about it recently. We have no indication of the fate of the Nine rings of power after the destruction of the one. Obviously the nazgul perished with Sauron - but their rings could have survived, somewhere in Mordor, if Sauron kept them (as Tolkien suggests).

Therefore, would it be safe (in theory) to retrieve and wear one of the nine after Sauron's defeat? And would it still have power that could be used?

There are some threads discussing the Nine here, which you may want to check out.

My own belief is that they perished in the destruction of Barad-dur. Even if not, I think they would have lost all power, in the same way as the Three.

In any event, even if one survived, I wouldn't want to touch it.

Oh, and welcome to the forum ! :)
