In the Preface to the Children of HĂșrin, Christopher Tolkien references a letter from his father, in which J.R.R. Tolkien describes these these three stories from the Silmarillion as being "full in treatment and equally independent, and yet linked to the general history": 1) The Tale of Beren and LĂșthien 2) The Children of HĂșrin 3) The Fall of Gondolin.

I notice that he uses the adjectives "full, independent, and yet linked to the general history", which also brings to mind two more: 1) AinulindalĂ« and 2) AkallabĂȘth. If anyone thinks of one that I didn't include that would fit, choose the "other" option and let us know which one!

Which is your favorite from the Silmarillion?
