Hello everybody,

I know that it may not be common to post it as a first thread but thanks for reading this.
I decided to make a tattoo in which I would like to include a tribute which is important to me.
That is why I would like to translate "Everglow" (which is a Coldplay song) in Quenya, then in Tengwar. I tried to search by myself but I am really not sure of what I found and it seems that a lot of specialists are on this forum :) . I found "vor(o)" for "ever", then "alka" for "light" (both of them being Early Quenya), but I am not sure if it suits and if so, how to mix them together...

Thanks a lot for your (precious) help in advance !

The simplest translation could be oiocálë. It contains the elemets oio-, meaning "ever". (For example in Oiolossë: Eversnow.) And cálë, meaning "light". So it literally means "everlight". There doesn't seem to be an explicit word for "glow". However, there was the adjective "glowing": lúsina. Which would then give us oiolúsina: everglowing.

Tengwar transcription here, in two different fonts:

(note that the TH in oiolúsina is there on purpose. Words originally spelt with þ later changed the spelling to S.)

I hope it helped.

EDIT: Formatting

Hello Arquen and thanks a lot for your quick answer !

It seems to be quite consistent with what I wanted. Then I will just have to choose between both answers :) .

Thank you for your help!
